Sometimes, the one we loved the most turns out to be the one who would hurt us us the most. But still, we would always remember that falling in love is not reason enough for us to fear love... The joy comes in loving only when nothing is expected in return. Love is not all about happiness, for we can never know what happiness is without experiencing some pain.
Moreover, love is not seeking for your own happiness. Its main concern is giving, not taking. It is not about making sure that the other person's life will revolve around yours, but its a celebration of others existence and being -- even if you're totally different from each other. Love always makes sure that there is ultimate honesty and sincerity in the heart as well as much respect and honor. Love goes nowhere without faith, hope and trust. Love is not about beautiful words. It is about making a firm decision and action to make a relationship grow stronger each day. It's the willingness to exert effort to keep the love alive. It does not give up but taking another chance.
But remember that although love means never giving up, it can also mean letting go. Sometimes we'll meet people who can's be strong and whose weaknesses will poison us. When you think loving becomes a one-way process, we have to let go. But if you can fix it up, then let it be. There are some things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go is not the end of your world...It is only the beginning of a new chapter in your life. After all, if you're truly meant for each other, then there will always be a way for your endless love.
But how and when is it really over??? We all know that the hardest part of losing a loved one is to accept the fact that they're gone and might never come back again. There are things that will always remind you of your togetherness. The places you've been, his or her favorite food, expressions you used to hear from each other and songs you've both used to sing....
These are the memories that would linger on your mind from time to time because you were both in love before, and it makes you move for another chance. You begin to believe on what others said that love is lovelier the second time around and the line from Ally McBeal, "Whoever said that 'plenty of fish in the sea' thing is lying...Sometimes, there's only one..trust me"...
We would desperately believe that what happens in the movies might also happen to us one day.
We tend to think that the person who left us will come back one day and say those words, just simple words but would promise forever...
ouch! Reality just bit me!
More often than not, these romantic movies and mushy love songs only make us long for something we cannot have and someone who cannot be ours again. It hurts to admit that we're just pretending. All the while, we already know the truth but we ignore it. When the damage is done, there's nothing left to do but cry, cry like a river. To mourn for bitterness in our hearts, then course anybody who gets in the way: I'm scared.
Let's face it! Betrayal can be anywhere and anyone can be a victim. The worst part is when the one we truly, madly and deeply love is the one who will betray us in the end...Then we are left with nothing but a broken heart and wounded pride...sad but true.
It's okay to cry as hard as long as you want to, but just make sure that when you stop crying, you won't cry for the same reason anymore. Learn and live. Love is the most wonderful thing we can offer. So be smart enough to give the love in your heart to the one who really and truly deserves it.
