A Raccoon Coat

A component of an argument that is demonstrably flawed in its logic or form, thus rendering the argument invalid in whole, except in the case of begging the question, a false analogy and other informal fallacies.. These are the many words that describes only one word..The word "Fallacy". A fallacy is actually an idea or view that may lead to an argument. It is logic or an erroneous reasoning.It is a false or mistaken idea based on faulty knowledge or reasoning. It is a misconception resulting from incorrect reasoning.

The story that I have read entitled the "Love is a Fallacy" by Max Schurman is a great story or a good example of a literary work that relates the word Fallacy.... It was a nice literary worK for it really discusses how wonderful and amazing literature was...

When I read it in the first place..I thought that it is boring because the words were not so understandable especially when the author talks about the different fallacies of the different lawyers in the world...But later on, I realized that all those things that I though were a little bit boring had exactly give me the idea or give me the clues on what would happen next on the story.....I almost read the story many many times until I finally understand the true and the message that the author wants to let the readers know....But I really enjoyed reading it....But until now...I am a little bit clueless why the story was entitled as such...I mean I do not really knew what that title really meant.....I only figure out that the guy was in love with this girl whom his friend was dating before..And during this dates of this particular guy,,,they were able to talk about fallacies...But I do not really knew what is the essence of that fallacy about love....It was a good story. It was an absolute work of a good writer. It was a humorous love story for me because the main character liked this certain girl yet at the end, the girl he liked chose the friend of the main character over him just because of a raccoon coat. I thought that there was a deeper reason behind. I thought that it would be something “valid”. I expected the ending to be a happy conclusion for the main character. I did not like the reason of Polly for choosing Petey over the main character.It is like that she chose Petey because of that Racoon coat which is a material thing...A thing that can be lost nor fade away....

Well, the lesson I get from the story is that we should not be jealous with the things that famous people had....Just like the raccoon coat.. well,,,the story "lOve is A fallacy" was truly a good step for the many literary works to be developed...And hope that many people including us would follow what Max Schurman had done....
